As long as both RTP, TP and HFC have an J bend extension of some form then you should be fine. However here's the thing..ODBII will allow you to pass emissions as long as a CEL doesn't pop up.

You'll probably get rasp from the Megans

Yeah I have heard nothing but bad stuff about them but it all depends on your setup so let us know how it goes!

Really depends on the extensions. Most companies will use the J bend to prevent them

EIther way you should invest in a tune afterwards, and then you don't have to worry about a cel either.

I asked a vendor here last week or so if RTP's will pass emissions and he said no...? So that just means the CEL will remain on?

they have to say that lol they don't want to be liable. It's officially for 'off road use only'. But most states (except Cali for sure) they just plug in the OBDII port, as long as there is no CEL and the sensors are not in a 'not ready' state (i.e. you recently reset the CEL without driving around) you can pass. Apparently a tuner can mess with the status flags and set them to 'not implemented' instead of 'not ready' lol, donno who told me that, maybe a little birdie

yeah I looked into that, apparently the v1 megan's on the 1st gen were horrid, and they've fixed the issues on the 2nd gen pipes (1st gen v2 pipes were a long better, they added a flex connector). So I guess these are 'v3' ones. For the price I'd figure I will give it a shot, not much to lose, I can probably sell them and lose 50 bucks max. They do have a 1 yr warranty FWIW. I have no doubt I'll get some rasp, I think that's true of any test pipes. I've love the Motordyne ART pipes, maybe if these totally suck I'll save up for them, but I can by 4.5 megan's for the price

BERK'S HFCs will pass smog (sniffer) and you won't have issues with rasp or check engine soon error code unless you have many other mods causing a lean condition. Which I solved by having SLICK Osiris tuned.

lol anything is possible with a cutter and welder I guess! If you want less loud and rasp, then sounds like the HFC's are the way to go - I think they last about 3 years on average from what I've read.

hmm im leaning towards GTM RTP...ART pipes sound awesome but i guess it would be pretty expensive getting a shop to custom make them...unless motordyne custom makes them?
