Iphone4 - '08 G35xS

I can't get my iPhone4 to work. Blackberry worked fine.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Is it a car issue, or an iPhone issue?

Thanks.

Are you saying it can't add the phone to the memory when searching for it?

Wow...sorry for the vagueness! Didn't realize it.

But yes, I can't even get the car to recognize my phone so I can set it up.

Any help is appreciated!

Reboot the phone
You will find that it wont connect from time to time. Either reboot the phone or turn the car off then on again.....
It sucks.

Yeah my ip4 works...I used to have it coupled to Palm and they both work great. IP4 does fail to connect sometimes in which case I just go to bluetooth menu and connect manually.

You may have to go into Settings in your car and delete whatever primary phone you had. If you have your manual it tells you in detail how to connect your phone.

Mine works great too. My phone is also jail broken, so with a swipe of my finger I can turn on bluetooth as I get in the car and I am set. You can always try a hard reboot and hold the lock and home buttons for 15sec.

idk if they ahve changed this but as far as the 3Gs and older, you should restart your iPhone at least once a week to clear the RAM and the phones cache. if i can find the page ill link it, but it was from teh apple website. i do it w/ my 1st Gen iTouch n my iPhone n it seems to keep em running faster than before but my 4th Gen iTouch is always insanely fast. so idk, i know the iPhone runs a little more but i RARELY exit apps, only if they freeze or something. but as for your syncing issues, i cant help ya there :/ all i can suggest is to tryn re-pair em.

Edit: you may already know, but in order to EXIT an app double tap the home button. when the list of recently used apps pops up at the bottom, hold your finger on one until they jiggle and then hit the "x" that will exit the app.

Are you sure that your IP4 settings allow it to be seen by other devices? Please also note that I have discovered that we (iPhone users) can transfer our contacts to the Cars phonebook....I HOPE IM WRONG about this, but Ive done some searching around and this seems to be the case. Aside from that, you should be able to connect via Bluetooth to make and receive phone calls.

It should work fine. Try settings reset reset network connections. That did the trick for my headset.

When my iPhone 4 doesn't immediately connect to the car with bluetooth when I start it, I turn Airplane mode on and then back off and that usually fixes it.
