I used to be pissed off with the jacked up trucks around here that have HIDs, but nowadays they all have extremely blue lights that are so dim they aren't even blinding anymore!

Get over yourselves guys and answer the question that was originally asked
Hopefully you don't drive around in busy places at night, you'd really have trouble explaining to the cop that you could clearly see that guy you just ran over
You really should give a damn about something that could really end up bad for you or even worse, someone else.

Not necessarily true. When you operate a car, you are responsible for making sure everything is legal and roadworthy. Try telling an officer/judge "I didn't know the car didn't have insurance" if you get stopped or go to court, and see if you get out of that.

Again, not necessarily true. Just because it's DOT approved, does not mean it's FMVSS approved. An example of this is those clear tail lights (altezza or w/e). They may be DOT approved, but if they don't shine a red light during braking, they're not legal in some/most states, as most will require the brake lights to be red when illuminated. Most states use the FMVSS in enforcement of motor vehicle equipment laws.

Is that a fine, or a court citation? If you have to go to court, it may be a good idea to have some documentation to show you fixed the "problem," and pray the judge doesn't slap you with a fine.

Driving with headlights during the day is actually safer. Some European countries have adopted this and as a result less accidents occur during the daytime. Hence why many auto manufacturers adopted the LED DRL onto their models...
+1. When I'm on my bike I even drive with my brights on at all times. It could save your life one day.

Same here when on my bike. My brights are always on during the day, and stays on until it gets dark enough to affect oncoming drivers. Heck even the riders manual suggests it.

I would never be upset with a bike for doing that. You have to protect yourself on a motorcycle. I have a lot of friends and family that ride bikes, and I know you can never be too safe while riding.
