I ended up paying a bit more, as he and ebay claimed it was a mistake as he didn't set a proper reserve, but I had the upper hand and being an ex New car sales manager, negotiated a middle teens price that the dealer could swallow Still a smoking deal though.

I gotta admit, The more I see this silver rocket sitting in my garage, the more I am convinced it is one of the best looking cars out there. Thank god I didn't buy that TL-S I had test drove, nice car, but that damn front tork steer really killed it for me.

Mid teens, but yep good deal. I snagged a 02 boxster "S" on ebay, 2.5 years ago for $12750 from a guy losing his house in Cali. The car was perfect with 48k so I guess he was a little desperate.

I knew I would probably never see the car for $9k, but after I talked to the dealership, I was confidence they didn't know the laws and I had leverage
