Auto vs. 6mt

All other things being equal would you get a 6mt or 5at. If you currently have one or the other would you trade and why?

True but I would like to see if anyone also had regrets from picking one over the other. i.e. Clutch chatter or not being able to row your own gears, etc.

If your interested in the car primarily for performance get the 6mt...if you have to settle for an AT; put money aside to upgrade the valve body the day you leave the lot

If you really have to ask this question, get the auto.

If you love driving, it really isn't a choice.

I have an Auto and enjoy driving just as much as you "manual" guys, if not more. Actually if your doing all or a lot of city driving I would get the auto as it becomes tedious shifting every 20 secoonds. If I was in my 20's or30's again, I might lean towards the Manual. Believe it or not, the Auto gets better gas mileage than the manual. Also the Manual really got ragged in all the car reviews.

I love driving...........

OP, if you did a search you would have found many threads such as this, half of which were probably closed by the staff. This thread will soon bring all of the "Nascar" drivers and teenagers out of the wood works.

I have a 6MT and I love it. I think a big selling point for me are the extras that the sport model has...differntial seats etc...
