30K service

I'm a real post ***** this weekend...

Hitting 30K this week and need to do a little work in the garage it appears.

Looking through the dealer recommended BS ($750??? Really?) I think I know what the car needs, but want to confirm:

Flush radiator
Flush differential. Can you use synthetic?
Replace belts

Am I missing anything here?

Im a firm beliver in not flushing anything unless it needs it. If you keep up on you maintnence of fluids then there is no need to flush.

30k service's usualy consists of (most of the nissan/infiniti dealers ive sean) .........

Oil change
Tranny fluid drain and refill
Rear diff. fluid drain and refill
Coolant drain and refill
Diff. fluid drain and refill AWD only
Tire rotate
Air Filter replacement
Micro Filter replacement
Wiper blade insert replacement
Battery test and sevice
All electrical function test
Random fluid top off
Adjust e-brake
ect..........

No need to replace drive belts if there not cracked or making noise. $750 is about average, if you have the tools and know how i would allways do it your self.

About $120ish for fluids & filters. I usually just use an air compressor & blow out my air filters every oil change, no need to change them unless they're tearing IME.

You can check the maintenance schedule to be exact or check out these threads where people have discussed what they had done etc.

DIY definitely if you can!!

Oil change= under $30 if you have the tools and space
Tranny fluid drain and refill= like $5 a quart and you wont need more than 3 and a new drain plug washer.
Rear diff. fluid drain and refill=i used mobil 1 gear oil from autozone for $8 each and only used 2
Coolant drain and refill=depends on when its been done last but wont cost more than what a few bottles of coolant cost which isnt much.
Tire rotate=depends
Air Filter replacement=can do it yourself for $10
Micro Filter replacement=$10
Wiper blade insert replacement= i spent $15 and used rainx wipers inserts into my oem wipers
Battery test and sevice
All electrical function test
Random fluid top off=depends
Adjust e-brake
ect..........

so for under $150 you can do 90% of this on your own! get it done! =] its real easy i swear!
