i hate to say it but we drive luxury sport cars. Who babies the sport car. When ever i do drive from la to sd and back i might drive a little nicer but for the most part, i am pretty hard on my car. I really don't care if i get less then 20mpg. If i cared i would have gotten a yaris. Why would you want to get 27mpg in a sports car?
amen!

Nope, perfectly flat. Idk, maybe its just the 6spds that get better mileage.

I keep the meter running in the dash and that helps make my foot lighter when I need to be

the other week i had to fill up at the midpoint of my trip and i drove an additional 18 or so miles home on the highway (some uphill, some down hill, some flat runs) and i got 28mpg, which is unheard of for me. when i got the car i drove to washington DC from NY twice and got 26mpg. now i'm lucky if i get 22. there definitely has to be something more i can do....

i will say i've found that driving 65 or 85 are the best spots. my mileage is honestly better in those two positions than it is at 70, 75 or 80. i can say this with complete confidence because every other day i drive about 30 miles from my home in NY to my girlfriend's in Danbury, which is approximately 30 miles door to door.

i've tried filling up with 89 octane and received slightly better results, although i haven't done enough comparison to really say yet.

I doubt most people here want to drive the car hard everyday. I heard these arguments before... "you should've gotten a Yaris, blablabla"... but believe it or not there are some people out there that want to keep their cars for a long time. That means not blowing up the engine or suspension components every chance they get.

If you want a sports car, get an S2000 or an RX-8 if you don't care about fuel. Both do well around corners.

+1. i rarely drive my car hard any more. i like saving gas and money considering i drive up to 100 miles a day now. although to be fair i'm not concerned about blowing up the engine....
