I washed and dried my key fob...

twice. Accidentally of course. Luckily both times the remote continued to work normally. Has anyone done this as well?

No, but i left it out in pouring rain totally uncovered and buttons facing up while i was playing some football with my friends for over an hour and it thought it would be the end of it but it has had no problems since.

The way they are made, there is a rubber gasket that protects them from getting wet on the inside. Unless you have opened them before and not put back correctly, the chances of water getting in is slim.

that's good to know about the water thing. what about the heat thing? wouldn't most electronic devices go haywire after being in a drier for over an hour?

Nah we tend to only screw up the same thing ONCE. Kidding dude. Nah never did that but I can see it happening quite easily.

Add one of these bad boys ($7) and you're safe from little sprinkles, can't say it'll help in the pool . It seems like they survuve just fine in pools and washers without this cover. This just helps with absorbing shock if dropped.
