225/55/18 tires on my G35S

I need to replace my Winter tires. I found some nokian snow tires on craigslist for cheap, but they are 225/55/18. I would put all four of them on my staggered stock wheels.

I checked online tire size calculators, and there is a full inch difference in diameter over the stock 225/50/18 (and 245/45/18 in rear).

Anybody ever run a setup like this? Any inputs? I do live in an area that gets a lot of snow, so the extra ground clearance would not be a negative thing lol.

Any fitment issue's on the rims as I do have the sport model with the staggered rims.

If your car is not dropped, than you should be fine. Your speedometer will be showing you lower speed by about 3.3% and that's about it.

You can go 235/50/18 on all fours, that's what I did w/ my staggered 18s on my 07 and it worked well, same diameter as stockers.

The 225/55 will probably not be within the manufacturer's specified rim width for your wider rear rims. It will be a bit stretched, but nothing compared to the kind of things people do with stretched tires these days.

It'll be fine. I run 225/60R17 in the winter. The extra inch of clearance comes in handy during heavier snowfall.
