Hey guys I've been doing a tid bit of research and I'm unable to make a decision as to what type of exhaust setup I'd like for an 08 G35 Journey. Currently it's straight stock and appreciate the natural sound, but am looking for something a little more "respectable?"

A buddy of mine has an 2010 eclipse (not that these cars are really similar) and has straight pipes with tips from Borla (I think). I like the sound it produces (even though its only an I-4) and I have been thinking about getting straight pipes due to the relatively inexpensive price tag, yet I'd like something that roars a little more deeply.

What are your suggestions? I'm not really worried about the emissions being legal etc, nor am I worried about a low drone. I do not wish to spend over 1k or anywhere near it if possible though; economical options are preferred. I'm just trying to make a good choice when it comes to upgrading from bone stock exhaust and I thought what place better to ask than this helpful community?

Thanks guys (and gals if there are any). I really appreciate it.

Wouldn't that be basically the same thing as test pipes?

And what effect do the resonators have on the exhaust/sound? Only reason I ask is I saw this
. He still has mufflers yet it certainly doesn't sound muffled lol.
