So, I took my car in for some warranty work last week and I was given a G37 as a loaner. Just checking out the basic stuff in the car, it started me thinking:

1. The windshield washer sprayers in my car are CRAP! They have three nozzles each, at least one on each side is clogged. The G37 had really great sprayers that sent out an even spray across the windshield. How hard would it be to upgrade these?

2. The window switches in my G only have automatic up/down on the fronts. The G37 had auto on all four windows. Would it be as easy as changing out the window switch mechanism?

Like the title says, these are pretty stupid upgrades. It wouldn't affect the power or the sound of the stereo or anything meaningful, but it would address some of the few issues that I have with the car.

 

I think I recall somebody on here figured out the nozzles were adjustable on our cars and that really seemed to help. Don't know about the rest of the stuff though.

My 08 g35 sedan has auto window up/down on all windows dont know why yours doesnt. Im pretty sure you would need more then the switches to get this feature to work, might need a brain box as well but not sure.

 

on the auto windows up, I just reset my ecu and had to manual activate it. Try putting each window up and hold the up button for 5 seconds, I can't remember but I might have had to hold them down also. try it both ways or a combo I think you can do them both at the same time.

You may have to have the premium package to do it, but it is worth a shot

 

^ ppl with no premium pkg only get front auto windows while premium get all 4, there is a KP module that you can buy and install to get all four windows to be auto but not sure if its worth the $$ for such little convenience considering that majority of time you just use the front windows.

As for the sprayer im pretty sure they are same on the G35 and G37 and seem to work great for me so it is probably something that is stuck in there and a thin sewing needle or similar should help remedy the problem.

 

We should built a product to unclog the sprayers!(if that's what they are called). Damn! I gotta unclog my noZzles!!!

 

I agree that I'm not willing to put out the cash for the KP module. It isn't that important, I was just thinking.

But, no, the sprayers on the G37 that I had were MUCH different than mine. Where the sprayers on the G35 are three individual streams on each side of the windshield (when I had the dealership unclog them), the sprayers on the G37 were a fan spray pattern. That's one of my biggest gripes with the car.

I've gotta take the car back in when a back-ordered part arrives (driver's seat bottom). I may step into the parts department to see if I can pick up the sprayer by itself. I'll let y'all know.

I think I've only used the windshield spray maybe once a month. I just clean off my windshield when I gas up or wash my car... imo using the spray just smears around bugs lol.
