Fender Bender
Sooooo, my wife got into a fender bender.....nobody got hurt and there is only minor damage to the car. [IMG][/IMG]

I'm looking to get it fixed soon, and my insurance will more than cover the parts and I was wondering about your suggestions for an OEM supplier for body parts (Insurance will pay for a fender, headlamp, and bumper cover)
BTW, I was also thinking of repainting the headlamp shrouds PG body color, or should I stick with the black and just redo the one side?

Why not just let insurance cover the whole repair? That's a two stage metallic paint and (to do it properly) the surrounding panels should also be sprayed to blend it in. Otherwise, even if it's a good job, you stand the chance of seeing two different paints side-by-side in good lighting. If it's a mediocre job, it can look really obvious regardless of lighting.
My concern would be that if you take just take a settlement check from the insurance and do it yourself, you may discover more damage than anticipated, and/or find that the costs to do a quality paint job are more than expected. If you let them do it, a good body shop can argue for the necessary estimate adjustments to do the job properly while the insurance company is still on the hook.

No, No, Im just going to buy the parts instead of letting the body shop make money on them! Its in the body shop right now and will be properly fixed.
However, I did do the headlamps myself and was thinking of just trying to fix the smudge on them myself and pocket the $$
