Weathertech Digifit floor mats and a MT
I was just about to order the weathertech digifit floor mats for my G and then i read that it does not fit the manual transmission. WTF!! has anyone bought them and trimmed the side so that it will work???? I really want these lol.
I love the WT mats, except not on our car. Let me explain why:
On our years (07-08), there is only 1 plastic carpet anchor, whereas on the newer G37's, there are two. Since there is only one anchor, WT can obviously only engineer one "mounting" hole into their mat. Over time, the anchor enlarges the plastic mounting hole, to the point where it becomes oblong (not round) and no longer keeps it put. Consequently, the mat begins to move around and shift, causing a potentially unsafe situation.
I explained that situation to WT, and suggested that they engineer a steel ring into the mounting hole so that the plastic would not warp and enlarge. They took my suggestion into consideration, and sent me a replacement mat as a warranty for my defective mat. Well, the replacement mat began to have the same problem, but when I called for a warranty on the mat, they stated they would not be replacing the mat again even though it was defective. I asked about the lifetime warranty, but they told me it didn't apply.
So, to make it short, I don't like the mat on this car, but I do love the mat in my 4Runner (2 anchors in the rug). If you have to go through the trouble to trim the mat and should have the same problem as me, they may give you grief when you try to return it. I'd look into the Husky one instead (it's popular on the 4Runner forum).

I just ordered the OEM Infiniti mats instead after sitting on the phone with WT. They said the passenger mats are too wide for the MT one as well, which I thought was funny.
FYI, I have the OEMs from my 07 X and they are a perfect fit in my 11 6mt so I'm not sure why the Weathertechs wouldn't fit. Is it because they go up the sides a bit?
^ with shipping they turn out to be ~$83 and i can pick up a new pair from the dealer for $90 here without the wait, if you find any cheaper links(even lightly used) let me know, my driver side is done for while other 3 are as good as new and i cant spend $100 on mats at the moment

I like my WT mats. Just have them in the front and have no desire to take them out during the summer. I have a bit of a warp/wave on the drivers side where its not as form fitting as I would like but I have no compliants.
