got rear ended today
Remember, while it's great that the insurance co is stepping up to the plate on this, that is a very damning bit of information to any potential buyer of your car in the future. IMHO, you really need to pursue a "loss of value" claim to be whole again.

Yep already asked about the diminutive value, they said I need it appraised with documentation and provide it to them with how much I am asking for. I'm currently trying to find someone who does that.

Stopped by the body shop to see how it's going. The owner was very nice and went over all the major damage with me while my car was on the lift. Rear pass frame rail being replaced, rear quarter panel crunched (drivers side was savable). At least I'm gonna have them leave the emblems off the back and just give me the new ones in a bag inside my car, so I won't have to de-badge now lol. Looking like 4 weeks until its done
If so, I'd have to disagree. "Doing it right" would mean completely repainting each damaged and reworked panel, and then blending the repainting onto the adjoining panels so that there is no defined 'stop line' from where the new paint ends and the old begins. THAT'S doing it right!!
