07 G35 65k miles - engine will not start
Car drived daily but did skip this Sunday.
This morning, the car will not start. It appeared engine is trying to rev up and start but died. Tried a few times, then white smoke came out of exhaust. Try another time by pressing gas pedal right after I push ignition button (was thinking if it is low idle issue), more white smoke came out.
Any clue?

Hmm go to autozone and rent a obd2 scanner and see if you can get a code while you turn the car on just so the electronics turn on
what mod's do you have done to your car? everyone has stated all the obvious solutions... Let me know whats up? I'd like to know what the possible issue is because mine has around the same mileage. After the car is warm I have tried to turn off and on again and it hesitates a little.
Firstly as everyone said check the battery which dies easily in these cars for some people... then MAF is also a possibility, however If the car turns on 'for one second and then dies' then it has to be the alternator as the batteries job is just to start the car that its doing and then the alternator should take over. Best thing is to take a voltmeter to the battery and check before starting should be around 12+/- and then for the second that it starts it should jump to around 14+/- . If the voltmeter actually shows a drop once car starts and before turning off then the alternator is not working.
If its not the alternator and the battery then its most likely the the voltage regulator

hey guys, it turned out to be malfunction on left throttle body, SA said it is not closing properly? There is some sort of mechanism that open/close the TB?
Repair is covered under extended warranty and suggested that I should clean right TB for $180, no thanks of course.
Will have to DIY to clean right TB later if not too difficult.
BTW, engine did turn over so I knew it wasn't the battery. TB malfunction at 64K??? oh I'm getting worried about G's reliability.

^ yeah of you go to the TB DIY thread you will see that people tried it both ways and everyone got different results, many that did disconnect the battery had no issue with high idle while some did and vice versa... its up to luck really.
