magnaflow 11385 question
Hi guys,
sorry to repeat this topic... I spent a good two hours reading up on this topic and got a little confused from other posts. I have yet to take a look under the v36 to confirm this... I'm wanting to add the magnaflow internal core x pipe/muffler (don't know what this part is officially called) to make the note of the exhaust sound a little deeper. Correct me if I'm wrong do I need the 2.25 or 2.5 measurement? and will this need to be welded? so far as I have annoyed you guys by repeating this I have the berk resonated tp's on stock exhaust.
Thank you!

I'm going to look around and try to narrow one down...let the guessing begin lol.
any clue as to who would have a fairly priced x pipe?
You will probably want to add some some high flow resonators as well because of excessive drone at low rpms.
The x-pipe can be found cheap at http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/02xypipes.asp
They also ship very fast. Part # 10790
You will need Magnaflow #14385 (polished) or #11385 (non polished). Non polished is cheaper.
Yeap Rick's right check this out...

If you install the 11385 you do not need the x-pipe. The 11385 has an x-pipe internally. What you need is to eliminate the y-pipe and install a custom one of 2.25 welded directly into the 11385. You the need to go 2.25 in the exhaust side and reduce to the size of the mufflers.
Thanks lakeshore this is the link I was talking about read blue's post he has videos on what he did. I am very happy with the xpipe i actually feel a difference the cars feels smoother and pulls harder. Can wait to put some HFC. G this might be a great add on for you.

Im happy you like it too Rick! Honestly there isnt anything wrong with our factory resonators, so it makes more sense to me atleast just do the normal x-pipe. You will be happy with the results I promise.
