Seafoamed Car

Hey just wanted to tell you guys that I changed my oil and seafoamed my car this weekend. The seafoam really settled the engine. Theres a spray that you spray on the throttle body, and boy did t work. The car no longer drops lowers rpm while idling at lights or whatever. For all those with that issue try seafoaming your car. It cleans your injectors as well as your throttle body, in like 4 mins!

I know people like to use that seafoam stuff a lot, I see it on numerous other forums, but I've never been a fan. I'd be concerned about what such a powerful solvent does to the seals, gaskets, soft metals, etc. in my engine. A better choice IMHO is to just use top tier gasoline so that you don't get build-up like that in the first place. I know that sounds like a cheap Chevron ad, but it truly does make a difference. I have always run Chevron in all my cars and NEVER had any issues with build-up, EVER!. When asked by dealership service reps if I want to have their injector service done, I always tell them that I use Chevron exclusively and unless they can guarantee that it will improve anything, then I'll pass. Not one of them has pushed me to do it when pressed to promise it will make any improvement for me.

Add to that, keeping up with maintenance also reduces the build up issues. Keep that oil, air filter changed on time and there shouldn't be much of a need for seafoaming.

^ Well in this case your TB will have buildup regardless of how well you maintain the car with filters, oil etc and needs to be cleaned every now and again since the mass of the buildup comes through the crankcase vent which pushes back unburned fumes into the TB. I say clean TB every ~25-30k

I would also be interested. I have an 04 G35 coupe with 100k. I think the seafoam would help my engine but im way too worried about it damaging sumthing than improving it. Plus i dont know exactly how to use it.
