Fuel Consumption

hey guys,

just wanted to get a feel for how far everyone is getting on a full tank of gas. i'm getting around 450-500 km on a full tank with mixed open highway (35%) and local driving (65%).

i've heard of ppl with M45s (v8) saying that they get 500 km on a full tank as well, how can this be?

is my fuel consumption normal or is there something wrong?

brtw, i always use 91 octane gasoline.

After 40,000 miles, I am averaging 22.1mpg with about 400 miles to the tank. Run 89 octane, approximately 40% city/60% highway use.

400 miles? that's about 650 km right? wow!

how long have you been using 89 octane gasoline? do you notice any difference?

I'm averaging 17.5 mpg and barely getting to 300 miles a tank... and that is with moderate driving. I keep the tires inflated to the suggested psi level for the tires and use premium gas. The intake did help out by adding 1 mpg in the city but as for highway I have not test this yet. Hopefully this next week or two I will drive 4 hours to another city and will most def. see what I get. I wish I had the 7at of the g37

that's amazing. how is it that you're able to get this crazy mileage out of your car when others seem to getting only 2 thirds of that?

lol i get somewhere around that number, i do mostly City driving (NYC) to work and don't really get on the highway unless its a weekend. But i average out to 14-17 mpg based on 91 octane gas. My tires are at 35PSI and i just changed the cabin filter, oil and intake filters , so i might be getting a bit higher for mileage now. I now have 89300 miles. i do a bit of aggressive driving (actually alot) which is why i got the car , if i wanted to get good city mileage i would've gotten a prius

I've been averaging about 15.5-16 MPG Mixed City and highway driving.

I just got the car, so it's hard driving like an old grandma if you know what I mean lol.

I was getting 15-16 mpg, 280ish miles to a tank, then i learned how to maximize my coasting in city driving, though I do drive aggressively at least once per ride. That got me almost to 17. I just replaced the filer and out in synthetic oil, and so far I'm now getting 18-19. I drive mostly city, and half my highway driving is in worse traffic than city driving. Looks like I'm gonna get 330-350 ot of this tank, which if that continues will make me much happier. I can stand paying 50 bucks a week for gas, not 75.

I average 18mpg about 80% city driving. I really don't think that is bad at all. I don't drive really hard, but I do like to hear the VQ's roar from time to time. Considering the car I had previously (4 cylinders, old and way underpowered) gave me about the same, I am really happy
