Opinions on XXR wheels?

If you can't afford to do it right the first time, I say get some OEM 19's to start you off. I just can't stand seeing cheap as$ wheels on a $40k car. If you go cheap on your first set, I can guarantee that you will regret later down the line and end up upgrading again. Believe me, I've gone that route myself already. But one problem is that even if you get some quality wheels from the start, you will want to switch it up again later. It just NEVER ends.

What does a quality wheel mean? I have been running my Axis wheels for sometime now, they look clean, they haven't cracked or bent on anything. I have had other wheels in the past that haven't been forged and no problems. I don't think I have to spend $4000 on wheels just because I have a G35, or $2500 on a used, curbed up set.

First thing is that some people don't have $4000 to spend on wheels or just don't want to spend $4000 on new wheels. Second, if someone is trying to steer away from a stock look, why would they go out and buy OEM 19's? and then spend money down the road for a forged set of wheels.

XXR is fairly "new" in our market, but so far they've had good reviews and they're relatively light for what they are.

xxr was sportmaxx they've been around for awhile and i have personally used them on 3 cars now. 2 of the 3 were built for drifting and used for such with no issues what so ever. I and tons of other Gs are running these wheels now again with no real issues. the only problem I have had is be careful with mounting tires and changing the rivets, the powder coat on the wheels isn't the strongest but otherwise I love them. I am running 18x8.5 and 18x10 with 255/40 and 275/40, this tire set up is the absolute closest match for your speedometer when upsizing its nearly perfect by the miata.net calculator.
**car has been lowered again since pic, and i believe this was taken at stock tire set up**
