2008 G35x cluster squeak-

I know there is a ton of stuff on this but I wanted to post my version.
08 G35x sedan. Have already had the cluster lid replaced, the cluster bezel, the steering wheel (scratched plastic around the audio controls) all replaced. There is a jiggling squeak coming from right in front of the speedometer portion of the cluster on the left. It has been there very intermittently since I got the car but only a bit worse recently with the ? cooler weather on Long Island (I don't know if I would call 65 deg in November "cool")

I have located the issue. If I press down on the black area (name?) in front of the clear plastic gauge cover the squeak stops. Wedging a little soft tissue in there stops it as well, but hell I'm not driving around with tissue stuck in the cluster.

Anyone know if the dealer has a fix that is permanent ? I LOVE this car but I never had a car with so many issues with the cluster and its environs. My dealer must think I'm a pest at this point.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!!

I have the same issue as well where the instrument panel behind it will squeak when i am driving at highways speeds. I was wondering if the bumper to bumper warranty cover infiniti to fix and replace issue.

Fixed !!

Have been driving with this intermittent but very annoying squeak for a few months. Finally got to bring it back to the dealer this morning. They fixed it. RO only says "double sided felt tape" as the repair. Probably placed it on the cluster where it goes below the trim. Nothing visible and no noise = very happy. Done under warranty BTW.

Have you also had a faint creaking noise coming from the dash where it meets the windshield? It makes noise over bumps quite often.

actually yes, not often enough to annoy me. If there is a good known fix I'd go for it while still under warranty

I had the same problem but it was fixed by the dealer under warranty about a year ago. No problems since. I'm not sure if it was tape or if they replaced the whole unit.

the fix for the windshield creaking is an easy one but a bit time consuming, here's a detailed professional style DIY or u could do what i did and stuff thin felt foam underneath the cowl on the passenger side where it meets the windshield.
