^ good point, be assertive, talk to the manager, and show him the pics if it is not as evident when you go back. He should be willing to help out. Is this a chain carwash or a locally owned one?

You can have the car wash pay for it. I know this one guy got sue them for the guy that owned the place b/c they messed up there GPS screen. If you notice the damages after the wash and you notified someone you will win.

one thing I will suggest is do not try and detail it yourself, you'll prob make it worse....go to a pro

Thanks for all the help everyone, i just took my car back to the carwash and spoke with the manager.

He was very professional and since they have an on-site detailer he offered to split the cost. He will do a quick detail of the car for $100 instead of the normal $200. I couldn't prove it happened there and he couldn't prove it didn't, so we met in the middle which i think is fair.

He did one door for me as a test to see if it would work, and it was amazing how new the door looked after only about 20 mins of work! It was like a mirror and the black color came back to life!

Can't wait to see the final outcome in a few hours.

Nice work! That's pretty much how my door looked after he did his magic on it!

I can't tell you how relieved I am that the paint is able to be saved! I had nightmares of a $2000 paint job for the car lol

Call your insurance and tell them you think someone poured some kind of acid on ur car & it ate thru and stained ur paint. Then get a free paint job with no rate increase cause it's a comprehensive claim. This is why you pay your insurance company every month.

Willdogs...glad you got it sorted out and that they are going to polish that for you...for $100. Hopefully they do the entire car. Post up some more pics when they finish.

I want to see result pictures too. The paint looks pretty crappy in those earlier photos, it was begging for a detail job. There's something very satisfying about seeing the difference a thorough detail can do.

Really? That's why you pay your insurance after every month? You have a lot to learn...

For a $100 job, i'm ecstatic. Came out better than I thought. There are still a few imperfections here and there if you put your nose up the the car and look closely but this quick and dirty detail will hold me over until after the winter is over

That's the best $100 detail the carwash owner has ever invested in and you came out on the winning end for sure.

Now you should tell everyone what a great carwash they are...but just don't drive your nice cars through it, lol

Looks great! That's a steal for $100. Do you know exactly what they did to it?
