Hi all,
I'd like to get my mom a remote starter for her 07 sedan.

After some searching, it seems that there were previous issues in getting these installed due to the keyless ignition system.

2 questions:

1. Is it OK to have a remote starter installed? Should it be done by an Infiniti shop, or are most places equipped to deal with these systems nowadays?
2. The car has an Infiniti-installed alarm from the day we received the car brand new. Does this introduce complications?

its perfectly fine ... and there shouldnt be a problem installing, just a bit more difficult
you can have the dealer do it for 3 times the price, or a shop that knows their shyt for less
