usually getting a flat head screw driver and pressing down on the clip then twist will release the plug.

Locate and depress the lock tabs.

(and don't forget: Never force it; just get a bigger hammer.)

Thanks a bunch. The tab was on the bottom side and very tight . I am no technician and I have too short of a temper to do this intricate of work (painting headlight). I guess the first time you do anything like this it is rough. Just getting the front bumper off I was cursing, lol. Almost done. Lost my sunlight though so the final put back together should be fun. Good times.

I envy your winter time ambition. Since I don't havethe $2700 I need for the headlights I really want, the best immediate option is to paint (which I did a couple time on my old Accord) but I have no desire to spend a couple hours in the garage trying to mess with this car in the Chicago winter. I'm surprised to see your location as Denver, but I assume you have a heated garage to work in!!

That said, good luck, be patient. Imagine how pissed you would be if yuo rushed the job and screwed up your OEMs!

Yessir! It's done but I will not post a photo until I perform the restoration on the outside. The headlights looked OK stock, but with the black background now the hazing is very noticable.

I had 8 (yes eight) hours into this. From tool set-up to test drive. I did not take as much care as I should have. Nothing got scratched but I had to do most things twice. I reassembled the bumper this morning before work and I couldn't get a couple of the screws back in. lol I always have extras. I know where they go but they wouldn't thread in. With bloody hands and short time @ 6:30 am...... Not cool, I gave up and drove to work.

The weather yesterday was Killer. I made it a half day at work and drove straight home to start. 55 degrees I think. I was wearing a T-shirt for the most part. Even putting the headlights in last night at 8pm was decently warm. Lucky!

No Heated garage, did it all outside. But the oven part kept me warm.
