it should. but to save the hassle, just get it at DDM tuning, look for 6/8k d2s bulbs and ur good to go. no need to question it. i personally bought about 4 pairs of bulbs and 3 sets off HIDS from them in the past and they still work today.

There is only one type of D2S, which is designed for projector headlamps. There is another version called D2R, but that is for reflector headlights only. D2R has a brown piece of tape along the base of the bulb to eliminate glare for incoming drivers. We use projection headlights with the lenses, so make sure to get D2S bulbs. I wouldn't recommend getting any bulbs from ebay, because there are a million fake Chinese bulbs that are sold for cheap and may damage your headlight assembly because of inadequate UV protection on the glass (which could yellow the plastic housing) and the bulbs do not last nearly as long as bulbs made from Philips, Osram, or the OEM in our cars (Koito.) You also run the risk of the bulb actually exploding in your housing because of low quality glass, which could cause some serious damage. These bulbs are highly pressurized with Xenon gas. There are also a lot of Chinese fakes of the bulbs on ebay, and even some other stores. I ordered Philips 85122 from ijdmtoy and they turned out to be fake.

The high beams work in our cars by flipping a metal plate that raises the level of the beam higher. The amount of light output is actually the same in the bulbs. The bulb does not get any brighter, but the level of the light beam is raised.

That's why there is no "high beam" bulb, and these bulbs do not change intensities. They are still only take 35 watts in our cars, with or without high beams.

I just changed my bulbs from the OEM Koito bulbs to Philips 85122+ last month. The color was a little more yellow but visibility increased dramatically. Our eyes are more tuned to a more yellower color like the sun so visibility is better as you go lower in K.

There is a new OSRAM Xenarc Cool Blue Intense bulb that was recently released that is supposed to be amazing with 25% increased visibility. I recommend if you want to go 5000k (pretty bluish-white,) go with this: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...l-Blue-Intense

If you browse hidplanet, you'll find lots of info about HID Bulbs.

Willdogs is correct: you will lose a lot of visibility especially in the rain as you go higher up in Kelvin. 8000k is too blue to really effectively see anything far away. Our eyes have a natural tendency to see better in white light. Too blue and your eyes will strain trying to see further ahead. Keep in mind that our ballasts are 35 watts and not 50 watts so the intensities are lower than cars with 50 watt ballasts.

Again, make sure you get bulbs from reputable manufacturers. Philips 85122/85122+, or Osram 66240/66240CBI are the OEM bulbs used on different manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes, and Land Rover. Ebay sellers may even pass fake Philips or Osram bulbs as real and you may never know the difference unless you have a trained eye. Get them from a reputable seller like Amazon.com or if you are on Ebay, get them from hidbulbzrus.

Also, if you can find high beam or low beam D2S on ebay, they are most definitely fake. There is no such thing as high beam or low beam D2S. They should all have the same intensities. The sellers are trying to make a quick buck from misinformed buyers.

I second skipping out on cheap bulbs. I got some no names on here, and ended up getting one of my headlights replaced, not sure if it fried it or what, luckily it was no cost to me. Either way I ended up with 1 working bulb out of 4 bulbs. I finally just put my stock ones in, I can see better with them (I had 6k). I don't see how you could see anything with 8k bulbs - but then if you compare to a halogen based headlight it's probably still better. When I drive the wifey's altima, I can hardly tell her headlights are even on lol.

The ddm tuning link is a good source.
FYI 07+ sedan all come with standard HID's with D2S bulbs for all models. 9006's are used for the fogs and NOT for highs. One pair of D2S bulbs will take care of both your low and high beams.

I wish people would be more careful when giving information to others. If you are not absolutely sure about something, don't act like you know and possibly give false advice. OP could've easily have purchased wrong bulbs b/c someone else was misinformed.

OP,

I apologize for posting incorrect information. You should always consult a trusted source such as Silvania or OEM manual before commiting to buying something like headlight bulbs. I was in the wrong forum and posted information that applied to models 03-06.

My bad.
