Thinking of Upgrading to an '08 G35

Hey guys, I currently have a 2006 G35X sedan (midnight blue). Its got ~65K miles on it and I've had it for a little over 3 years. It's in pretty good condition.

I've been contemplating upgrading to an '08 G35 and had a few questions that I was hoping could get me a good start on the transition.

First of all does it make sense to upgrade up only 2 years?

About what do you think I could sell my current car for? Should I trade in or sell privately? I assume private since it would net me more money but may be a bit more of a hassle.

About what would a '08 G35X run me? Or I guess what would be a good deal to look out for or to try and haggle down to? I know this is completely circumstantial but just a guesstimate is fine. Let's say around 50K or so miles.

I know I have been very vague and I apologize. Please let me know what info I have left out that would be helpful to you guys.

Thanks!

if you're going to get a 2nd gen, for your sake please get an S or xS..
IMO it would be worth it to upgrade even to an 07 since it's a redesigned body and different engine.

you'll probably get about 13 for your car privately, 9.5 trade in.
07-08 will probably be around 22-23

You could probably get a bout $14,000 for your car. My parents got a 2008 g35x last April with 10,000 miles. It had the premium package and technology package for $25,000.

I don't know all of them but I know the suspension is stiffer, the rims are a larger, more aggressive design and the bumpers are slightly different.

suspension
front bumper
side skirts
larger brakes
sport seats
paddle shifters
18" staggered sport wheels
That's off the top of my head, I might be missing something,

The most important difference in the sport model is the limited slip differentials IMO. Other things are mostly cosmetic and can be purchased for pretty cheap. (ie. sports bumper, sides, wheels, paddle shifters, aluminum pedals, etc.)

I have an 08 journey and wish I had gotten the sport instead. It's definitely worth the extra premium you pay IMO.

Now that's a good question! I thought he was gonna do a pic request or something media related!

If you could get the car fully loaded even better! Premium Package, Navigaton, Tech Package, Sports Package, and I think that's all!
