Replacing My Interior Lights

Hey guys. I searched everywhere, DIY, Tech, etc. and couldn't find a straight answer. I'm looking for some insight (or instructions) to how to replace the bulbs inside the car, like the dome lights and rear overhead lights. I tried prying a little bit but don't want to force it with risk of breaking if there's a better way. Does anyone know how to take off the covers on the interior bulbs?

Thanks in advance!

You need a very thin plastic bone to fit in between the 2 plastic to pry it open.

I use these for just about everything on the interior. Worked fine for the dome lights. Harbor Freight Panel Removers

So they'll eventually pop out? I'm hesitant to just apply pressure until they come off. For the lights other than the front dome lights, how do you take those covers off? In particular the rear roof lights and the front door (courtesy) lights. The courtesy lights seem like they will be especially hard to take off.

Alright thanks, I really appreciate it. That goes for all the interior lights?

Also, do you have any idea if the bulbs are the same fitment as the one in the trunk? Meaning, will the bulb in the trunk fit the interior bulbs?

G37 sedan bulb replacement

Same bulb for trunk. I actually added a couple 12" led strips to the trunk as well. Lights up like daytime.

Thank you! This was absolutely perfect. I actually had some LEDs left over from another project and it turns out they were exactly what I needed. I can post pictures if anyone's interested, but I'm sure we've all seen it a million times. Thanks again for the help, loving the LED look, especially the license plate.

Speaking of heat, when I took the OEM lights out of the interior, I nearly caught on fire. It's amazing how hot those lights are, I had to turn off all the lights and wait for them to cool down and STILL had to use gloves. I'm glad I replaced them with LEDs just for that alone, I can't believe anything would be that hot like that.

i worked on the rear interior light over the weekend and it was on for a short while when I tried to remove the bulb ... not a good idea. i still have the burnt scar on my thumb to prove it ...
