Sold 2003/ bought 2008 x

My 2003 sedan was getting tired and I figured to move up before she hit 10 years old..
The car has been a champ so decided to buy another one. I get it tomorrow and the first thing I would like to do is get it lowered, its an X so I know there are not too many choices.
I don't want to go low where I would need camber kits so what I thought would work is the Eibach p/n 6399.140. My 2003 was lowered with Z and coupe parts and it worked out well,
just wondering if anyone was able to lower the X with z/coupe parts..

Post up pics of the '08. How much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking.
Congrats!

I'm lowered on 370z springs and shaved mounts and am completely happy with the set up. A modest drop of about an inch in the front, slightly less in the back for an even drop, I've found the ride quality difference minimal and the cornering suprisingly better than I had expected it to be. Here's a link if you're interested.

Me too, very happy staying with the Infiniti family, its where I belong. Even though its a used car I'm pretty excited about getting it. Thanks for the heads up on the 370Z springs,
do you have a pic available. Paid 24 for the car...I might of over paid but ease of transaction, great loan rates, low milage and the car has never been in an accident, the previous owber is 73 years old, hope the car will adjust to the foot of a youngster of 57..

AutoAnything has a specail on the Eibach ProKit springs 6399.140 for 209$ plus free shipping. Don't think I can find for less. I swapped out the springs years ago, probably took me most of a day but getting too soft and lazy so will pay to have it done. Should 30 minutes per corner for a shop be enough..

I think the new Swift springs are less of a drop than eibach and are not progressive springs. Might be worth looking into compared to Eibach. With Eibach you will need rear camber correction and optionally fronts.

From what I have read it seems that most people don't bother with a kit. Spoke to swift and their drop is 1.3F and 1.0 R while Eibachs are 1.4F and 1.1R so the next question is linear or progressive....

Dropped by the dealership to try and get the service records on the car, it was like pulling teeth. I feel like a mushroom when I go to that place. When I spoke spoke about service bulletins and I was told there are no recals and everthing is perfect with the car. There is paint off the steering wheel which does not bother me but was wondering since my warrantee is up next month should I be looking at more serious issues to be checked.
The right highbeam does not work and I have an appointement this AM to get it fixed. My saleman is like Sargeant Schultz I KNOW NOTHING...

Why are you saying the Swift springs are crappy? What are you basing that on? The only reivew I've read about those new Swift springs for the X is great.

I'm also debating on Swift vs. Eibach for my X.

In the same boat as you, i'd also like to know what makes Swift such a bad spring. Grant it when I have Eibach's for my maxima they were great, but i'm not set on them for the G.
