26lbs per front rotor for the Akebonos is just too heavy for the performance. IMHO

you can get the 2 piece rotors from racing brake, but I think they're over 400 EACH

Agreed, and then, to make it even worse, you typically add for heavier wheels and tires required to fit over them.

did you lube all the parts real good with brake grease when you replaced the pads last time? they shouldn't be sweaking at all...
