Thanks all

Yup I purposely got 35% on the doors mostly due to when I had my Acura, the 20% all around would get me pulled over at least once every couple of months. Got annoying real quick

Hopefully I am less of a target with 35%. At night its plenty dark, during the day (Since it is metallic) depending on the angle you are looking into the car it is still pretty hard to see due to reflection

Looks good. The black interior will keep it dark on the inside a well. If u change your headliner that will make a huge difference when it black.

Props on the high quality tint. I went with 3m as well, nothing worse than seeing the blue faded tint special rolling down the street.

headliner? i have 20% on the doors, limo in the back and preparing 50% for the front window ( all illegal in ct, but i usually just pop open my sunroof if im worried about a near by cop).. but my interior and sunroof still makes me feel like a fishbowl on bright days. have you personally had success with this or know of any good experiences?

Yes the headliner in black will decrease reflective light in the cabin. Your local upholstery shop should charge $100-200 in labor + whatever materials you bring them to black it out, preferably alcantara (if they can glue it on without the glue seeping through) or suede.

This is definitely in the works for me in the summer.

My car came w/ all tan interior. WHen i got a tint, it was still bright in the car. Then last year i got the head liner done in black suede and it made things darker inside. Then i got the seats and carpet done in back and it's only getting darker. That's if you want to go darker inside w/ a light tint.

I like darker but in your case it sounds it like it was a hassle due to where you live. Still, a very good improvement over the "stock" windows. What do you have planned next?

I don't know the laws in NY, but in PA there is a loophole in ours:
TITLE 75 Section 4524 (e)(1) of the Pennsylvania Common Statutes states that

(1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sun screening device or other material which does not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle through the windshield, side wing or side window of the vehicle.

If it said AND then it would be a completely different situation. So if if your tint is 15% across the board (like mine ) but the windshield is untouched, you are not violating this law.

Just sayin...
