I can't seem to find this in a search, but how on earth do I turn off those 2 leds that are in the overhead console that come on at night?

Side note, I had a G37 Loaner the other day and noticed that instead of Two LED's it only had one.

Wonder if people complained that it was too bright in the earlier models?

they are just too bright when driving out of the city and going into rural areas without much lighting.

You must have some different lights than the ones in my car. Mine are very dim, especially compared to the dash lights.

You can dim those leds along with all the interior instrument leds by using the dimmer switch located on the left side of your speedometer cluster. They can be dimmed quite a bit and can be turned off too if you dim to the MIN but downside is all interior leds are turned off then, just dim all the way and it should be fine
