Finally got around to painting my grill black. I am very satisfied with the results. Also installed a 12" W3 with a JL Audio 500.1 amp.....it makes the music sound sooooo much better!!!

Looking good. Gloss black grille definitely looks better than matte.

 

car looks nice but you need to get a better custom box for that sub as it looks bad and is taking too much room.

 

Looks nice, I'm ready to get rid of my dipped grill (damn micro fiber towels stick to that stuff like velcro) and will vinyl wrap mine in gloss black vinyl.

dude thank you for painting it! I'm not a fan of the matte black "dipped" grilles. I did the same and love the glossy look...

 

what did you use to paint it? did you sand it down first?

Just FYI, you can also give the plastidip a coat of glossifier (made by the same company). Because of the texture of the plastidip, it does not really give a gloss effect but it does shine. And microfiber still kind of sticks to it when cleaning.

Yeah I sanded it down, then sprayed it with 3 coats of black duplicolor paint, and one coat of clear.

 

DO IT!!!! I love looking at my front end now, when I see a G with the chrome grill it just looks out of place. Black is soooo much better!
