The whole Radio, Navi and AC freezes!

Since I had the car it had happen about 5 times!! Everything just freezes! Nothing works, volume, navi or AC! This happen right after turning on the car! It usually last 3 minutes! My girlfriend was driving my car when she recorded the next clip! She said she just turned it off and on so it when back to normal! What sucks its, lets say ÿôū had high volume on the car or extreme hot or cold on the AC it stays like that until it unfreezes by itself!

Taking my car to the dealer tomorrow! Good think I still have warranty and I had already talk to the service advisor about this problem! I have a clip now! We'll see!

Damn, that sucks, good thing you are still under warranty. This is one of the reasons I got my Elite Coverage.

This barely barely happens so I didn't really pay attention to it!! But I almost out of warranty so they better fix it! Imaging the whole thing freezing forever! I really don't think it would be cheap to fit something like this!

And then you will buy another car that could have the same sort of problem. Every car has its glitches. Salvador's case is the first i'v heard of this particular thing happening.

Let us know how it goes.

I had this happen to me a few times. I took it into the dealer and they did some sort of software update to it and have not seen it since. This could be the fix for it. Good luck.

They won't do it for free, you have to buy it here first

I just did mine last week and along with the maps update I feel like the interface as a whole is a bit snappier and even the bluetooth voice dialing is a bit different. Nothing big but now when I mention a name, it asks me to confirm by saying "dial" one more time. It didn't do this before they updated my Navi maps. I'm guessing there is a new firmware update out there and they installed it at the same time they installed the new 2011/2012 maps.

$149 for Maps
$70 for labor at the dealer.

I still had the original 2007 maps so it was worth the update. At these prices I probably wont update again for a couple of years. Not worth the yearly update for where I live.

What else is changed when you update the maps? Does it look any different?

Nope the maps look exactly the same, just new POI's and new roads. I was happy they were able to save all my addresses and phone numbers. I didn't have to re-do anything.

I've had it happen 2 or 3 times in the last 2 years. The system reboots itself after a few minutes and then it's fine.

Unless the dealership can replicate it, I don't see them doing anything about it.

I dont have navigation but mine did the same thing a bunch of times within one week and then stopped and hasn't done it in the months since, but the thing about mine was that the steering wheel controls still can turn down the radio
