Hi everyone, was about to purchase an OEM Rearview Camera from a salvaged vehicle with the chrome spoiler with cam cutout and the Module for $200 and then was thinking of having it installed by a shop. Based on all the reviews and amazing work by 180custom, i decided to contact them and they said it would be complicated using OEM camera and module. They suggested i just buy an aftermarket cam from them (which looks like OEM, i think the falcon brand) and the spoiler and a basic Module they use all the time for $500 with Installation. They said it was all plug and play and not as complicated as OEM and that the camera would turn on automatically when put into Reverse. Dont know what price i should be paying for this but i think this is a great deal and if everything goes well, maybe others can have it done there as well?

 

I think its a bit too much... I'm gonna do a search about this and will keep you updated about the parts/installation process. Because I've been wanting to do the same.

 

Bump, really need your input on this.

 

$500 installed seems like a great deal to me.

 

I wonder how hard is the installation if you do it yourself!??
