After 5 years of using my G as a daily driver, I'm coming around to fixing some minor details and damages.
One of the things that keeps coming back are these scratches under the door handles. I know that my hand motion does not extend far enough to constantly scratch the car and the rear doors certainly don't get much use, so I think that the indentation kind of creates some kind of vortex when driving on the highways that causes dirt and small rocks to scratch the car. I've actually had success in removing these before using Turtle Wax Heavy Duty Bug and Tar Remover. It did a good job covering up a bunch of light scratched around the car. Wasn't a permanent solution though.

Next is a what I believe to be a bent clip in my rear bumper. I backed into another car when I was trying to parallel park and I guess the bumper flexed a little bit, causing the clip to bend. It's just keeping the bumper from being flush with the rest of the body.

After that is an issue which I've seen many G drivers complain about. The interior door pull on the passenger side is peeling and looks like crap. I've had the same problem with the driver side pull and the steering wheel, but those were replaced under warranty and have not peeled since. Don't know why they didn't just go through and replace the passenger side one then, but my warranty is up so I can't replace it for free. If anyone knows a cheap place to order the part online, I don't have any problem changing it out myself.

I've also had some encounters with rocks flying at me on the road, causing a couple of chips in the paint that have rusted over time.

And finally, the worst damage yet. I was reverse parked outside of a restaurant and came back to find this. Some idiot gave me a dingy and didn't even leave their information. Jerk. Has anyone has a similar dent and know around how much it would cost to fix?

Any help with any of these problems will be much appreciated!

As for the OP, I also need to replace my steering wheel and both door trims, owner before me didnt take it in for the replacement. That rust spot is really bad, i have one on my SUV but dont know what the best way to cover it up. I read about someone who completely cleaned the area behind the outer door handles and made it look brand new, its a thread here in the forums, just cant find it.
For the door handles and steering wheel you guys have a few options! The cheapest way, just scratch all the remaining stuff! Another option save them off and sand them and paint them however you guys want! And the other to buy them online! They cheap, not over $50. Just search for the threads!

I know how you feel
\I too am in H town, and literally 30 minutes ago my daughter left the door of the car open resulting in my first scratch(es) I tried Meguiars scratch remover, it's still noticable when the light hits it right. I'll keep working on it.
I have a white nissan as well and get those scratches inside the door handles wax seems to wipe them off easily. Doublt it's from your mini hurricane theory as it is worse on the driver side door (more use).
You need some rust inhibitor on that rust, can't imagine it happening unless you are by Clearlake since it's so dry ans salt -free here. Never had rust since I left Ceveland (Ohio).
That ding by the fron light may need bosdy work since it is on a crease by the fender you will not be able to do it paintless. I say get the work done all at once at a body shop. It would be worth it IMO. Don't wait till you need to sell it, fix it now and enjoy it.

u can find precut clear bra material to apply in the area behind the door handles to avoid future scratches after you get em taken care of with some medium polish and pad

Thanks for the replies everyone!
Yea I haven't visited the site too many times since I first got on here. My parents had the car for the first couple of years and then let me have it. I'm a student so I can't afford too many mods to my car just yet. I changed out the turn signals because I wasn't a fan of the egg yolk. I actually just ordered a set of LEDs that were mentioned in another thread. Also ordered a clay bar and some other things to help take care of my car off of www.detailedimage.com . Pretty good website with info on how to properly maintain the appearance of your vehicle.
There's a ton of things I want to do in the future once I have a steady job. New wheels, rear diffuser, CAI, paint my grill gloss black (but only once I paint my headlight housings black), etc. I like scouring the forum for cool ideas every now and then to add to my list. There's definitely a ton of cool Gs here. They must get it from their owners

you need to get rid of that pinstripe too!
my handles have the same thing im gonna try to buff them out as best i can by hand.
So I wanna order the switch bezel ASAP, but not sure if I should order the 07 or go with 09 to be safe. I want the updated material so that it doesn't chip again. The 07 does go for $30, while the 09 goes for $80...
09 Switch Bezel- http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/part...w=21&maxRow=10
Are the 07 ones on this website updated to the new parts?

I have an 07 and ordered the 07 Switch bezels off the site. They are updated with a different paint used, definitely can't scratch this one up if I tried. Don't think Infiniti would sell switch bezels with faulty paint at this point. You should be good to go!
