Hello All,

I have been trolling around the site for about a week now so I figured I join
Last week I traded in my Mazda protege MP3, and I got barley used 2008 G35x. Needlees to say its a huge change and I absolutely love it
I plan on doing a couple things with it

Sway bars
Non sport journey lip
Intake system
Drop it
And maybe an exhaust system

Well that's about it, I will post some pics soon it's factory right now but very clean. I would appreciate any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions. Thanks.

welcome to the boards, i just joined in september and love it with all the help and the info you will learn. Got a G35x and want to do a drop too but too hesitant since its an AWD and not too sure what the best option is to drop it, and the fact that im in NY and so many potholes that would abuse the car. Pics please, even if still factory

Welcome to you as well, I am not going to drop it just yet I was actually looking around on the forums and I think im going to get a G35 RWD rear sway bar, from what I understand its much bigger than ours and adds increased handling as well as limits over steer. I feel you on the pot holes man, I'm up in Boston and our roads are just as bad. posting pics today.

Hey, looks real nice man! I've got a 2007 G35x and want to lower it, but hesitant due to the AWD aspect... Let me know what you guys chose in terms of suspension options, and why.

Heres a link in the master FAQ thread that has a lot of info for 2007-2008 G35x suspension:

Welcome to the forum, I too came from a Mazda Protege, had a slightly modded PR5. I also got a barely used LP 08x. Seems we have a lot in common lol.

Good choice of mods, you may be able to just replace the rear sway bar on the X, the front OEM bar is pretty good. You may also want to consider some wheels, the stock 17's seem so bland. Good luck and have fun w/ your mods, post some pics so the G community can see your progress...

Well so far there have been a couple changes to my initial plan on this car. I have put in my HID fogs, and will be getting it tinted this weekend. However I not longer plan to put in the air intake system.
I am still planning to order the non sport lip and have that installed. but that will basically be it, I think I will stay with the classy look that this sexy machine brings

Oh nice man welcome, I was actually part of N.E.P.O.C it was a great bunch of guys and I had a couple meets with them. Lol and apparently we have quite a few things in common . the sway bar might come a bit later as well as the rims, but I was actually looking at some G37 19" OEM wheels for it. thoughts?
