I thought SPC addressed it with the "version 2" of the arms?

Do you (or anyone) think if the drop isn't too low that the banging can be avoided? I'm thinking of dropping the fronts another 1/2" or so, which would require i finally install the kit, but not at the expense of banging.

Thanks.

No banging on mine, just removed my 20s (to have them replaced w/ new tires) and didn't notice any sign of the arms hitting the wells. I'm pretty low in front at 25 1/4" to the fenders.

dang.. let us know how the replacement works out. If they replace the broken one I guess you can sell them when you get the replacement.

Good to know, i'll likely sit at an even 26, so even more clearance than you. Thanks.

Wow! Sure glad nothing serious happened to you or your car, that's a major failure
I'm sure SPC will make it right, that's too serious a failure to just blow you off.
Have you heard anything from them yet?

That is bad. I'm glad that nothing 'really' bad happened as a result of this. That would have been scary to me if it happened while driving.

I would also make a request of SPC to send you two new A arms because;
1. you wouldn't feel safe leaving the aged and unbroken one on the car (from the same batch).
2. if you are replacing one side you should be replacing the other side.
See what they say about that.

Wow. That's crazy. And these arms aren't exactly cheap.

They are sending me another set free of charge. They also want me to send the damaged one back so their engineers can examine it.

They are sending me a set. So I have to replace both. I wouldn't have thought otherwise.

Nice to hear they're stepping up, and I'm sure that would be something that they would like to scrutinize. I just pulled off both my front tires and re-checked the arms and the fender wells, no signs of any banging on the wells (or any dings on top of the camber nut) and the arms look as they should. Thanks for sharing the pics w/ us and hope everything is smooth sailing for you from here on out

Wow. That could have ended worst in the pix. Glad to see that they owned up and looking into it and sending you a new one. That is good news.
