n00b questions

Hey Everyone!

I recently picked up a 2008 G35xS sedan. I've been trying to read as much as I can on these cars since I come from the Euro scene and don't know much about JDM cars. I have a few questions about the G:

1. Do the Gs tend to have a lot of wind noise on the hwy?

2. The rear of the sunroof is not flush with the roof when closed. It's a wee lower. Normal? There are no leaks.

3. What are people using to clean and condition the sport seats on an 08 GxS?

4. Two of my doors have the weather stripping pulling off. I've tried to put it back in but no luck. Common issue?

Thanks All!

Welcome to the forum. Congrats in getting the G.

1. Some have had wind noise issues around the side windows. Not many though. Could it be related to #4?
2. The sunroof should be the same on all 4 sides. By feel, about 1mm lower than the sheet metal
3. I have used lexol but now use Meguiar's gold class leather cleaner conditioner. It works and smells great. Both are good.
4. There is a TSB for the door weather stripping. Check the site, Infinitihelp.com for TSB info and more.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that question #1 could be due to #4. The car needs to go back to the dealer to get another key programmed and have the dash over the gauges replaced (pulling up at the corners). I'll let them know about the sun roof and weather stripping.

Thanks again.

Lew

There is a tsb for wind noise coming from rear door quarter windows. The fix is for the dealer to pull the window glass out and re seal. Check the Infiniti help site for the actual tsb. I have this problem on my 07 but I am out of warranty and it's not that bad, only hear a slight noise on really windy days

Thanks. So I maxed out my 2 available download allowances. How soon does it reset on InfinitiHelp?
