Much higher gas mileage than expected
So I just got a 2007 G35x sedan and have read in many threads that the G has poor gas mileage.
I'm getting on average 32mpg. Which I'm considering pretty good compared to the 15mpg I keep reading.
Do most G drivers have lead foots or is this a freak occurrence?
Maybe I'm driving like a granny...

Try calculating yourself based on the miles you drive per refill and then do some math based on how much you put back in your tank.
I've never relied on the indicated mpg in any of cars i've owned. Sometimes they are correct, most times they're not.
The tried method is computing distance traveled by fuel consumed. Also, are you sure you are the tank is completely full when refueling?
Although mine is a g37, best i've been able to achieve (calculated, not indicated) is about 28 mpg with nothing but steady highway driving at 65-70 mph with the cruise control on.

Sorry, not buying it. Perhaps under freak conditions (downhill, tailwind, drafting a semi ...), but as an "average" !! . . . no way; got to be a mistake, something misread, or misinterpretation somewhere.
EDIT: or as kool said, trolling is a possibility.

Do this: Find a level stretch of freeway with relatively light traffic and set your cruise at the speed limit. Now, reset your MPG calculations on the fly and watch the meter for the next 20 miles or so. If you have ICC, it may skew the results if the car senses other vehicles. Anyway, when I tried this at 65 with AC on. The computer stayed blank for several miles until it finally came back with a base reading of 27. It began to fall from there down to about 25 for the remainder of my 250 mile highway trip. If i check it now, it will be at 19.7.
Hey, I'm not trolling. I'm just genuinely curious being that it's my first G and having been reading about the car for many years before making the purchase.
I'm in Canada and the LCD in the middle has been showing 14L/KM as my indicated mileage. I drive an hour each way to work on the Highway.
Maybe the computers wrong.

But it pays to be clear from the start, what units your using.I can get 32 mpg (8.8L/100km), straight hwy driving, if I don't go over 95KPH. That's 26.6MPG to our USA brothers.
However, 14L/100KM = 20.1 IMP MPG = 16.8 US MPG. So either you are getting very poor gas mileage or your trip computer is out to lunch. Both of the electronic fuel economy calculators in my G routinely show results very close to any manual calculations I've done over the past 5 years.
