Are mud guards standard or and accessory?

All,

Just wondering if mud guards were standard on a 2008 G35xS sedan. I don't have them and thought I saw them as an accessory. When I was looking at cars, I saw some with and some without.

Thanks,

Lew

they are an accessory. But they are good at keeping your paint job nice and chip-free on the sides. Some cars without the those splash guards could get little chips from small rocks being flung from the tires at speed.

Thanks for the reply. So I found them here:

I'm ASSuming I want the Sport ones even though the true SPORT model is the RWD\6MT sedan.

Hit up this guy. He is a regular on the forums and provides us members with some good deals. I'd give him a call first.

He should be able to get you the proper splash guards that you need and I believe they come painted as well to match your car color.

I can get these shipped $115.00
the sport is for those with the sport bumper, if you don't have the sports bumper, they won't work, either way sport or non sport, $115.00 shipped

Thanks E&B and Phil!

I have the Sport package on my G35x sedan. Would that mean I have the sport bumper? Sorry for the n00b questions.

i dont think that there are any differences in the rear bumper between S and non-S since thats where the rear mudguards attach so those should be the same for both. And the front ones attach to the side skirts and dont have anything to do with the front bumper if im not mistaken...

So i think you need to have sports sideskirts not the front S bumper which are different than non-S for these to fit(i say this cause i know many have swapped their non-S front bumpers with S bumpers but not the sideskirts), so if u have sports pkg then your sides should be S, but to confirm just look at them and you can tell quite easily as the S one bulges out a little while the non-S is pretty straight/flat.

Here is a pic of the car. I'm guessing those are the Sport side skirts on there:

It definitely looks like yours flare out a lot more than mine and mine barely go out at all. So you have the full sport package I would assume, not just the front bumper. Best to listen to Phil on what needs to go on there though.
