Picking up new wheels today, I need some color advice.

Im picking up these wheels today, they pretty much look identical to forgestar f14's. The wheels are staggered, 20x8.5 +32, 20x10 +42. My theme for my g has been just all blacked out because i personally love the look. The wheels i have on the car now are MSR 93's 20x8.5 +24 all around. My car is lowered on H&R springs.
What i want to know is whether i should have these new wheels powdercoated in piano black, matte black, or textured gunmetal.

You and me are apparently on the same modding schedule cause I just had some wheels delivered yesterday for my OB and am having the same debate.

IMO black on black on black can make a car disappear into the crowd, but maybe ultra stealth is your aim. I think piano black would look good even thought its not totally my style. Do you still have the chrome trim on the trunk lid? Just wondering since we cant see it in the pic above and you seem to have everything else completely blacked out

I'm really leaning toward piano black. I've been rocking the stealth look for a while, everything is pretty much blacked out. More pics here https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...ts-murder.html

I would go with piano black in the face and leave the sides of the spokes aluminum to break up the black a little bit and give an extra dimension when you look at it. Like the reverse of the way VW did the wheels on the Beetle the first time it came back. Or maybe you could do piano black on the face and leave the outer rim aluminum

I dont know much about the powdercoating process but I assume it should be simple enough to have that portion masked before they black is added. I'm considering doing a similar style with my new wheels but with red on the inner-spokes since my theme is black/red/chrome. Of course then I would really have to do two powder coats which will be more than I could justify paying.

Too bad we dont live close so we could do a photoshoot "Bad meets Evil" for Gs when theyre finished getting new shoes put on!

You have a strong black theme going...stick with it.
Although GM does look nice too

I'll show my gunmetal wheels with polished aluminum lips for comparison.

This MSR brand doesn''t even put in the effort to name their wheels its all numbered...not something I would trust...but on a black I would personally go gunmetal or silver.

damn this decision is driving me nuts. ive went back and forth to the PC shop 3 times trying to make up my mind lol. i love the stealth black on black theme but then i think the gunmetal might look a little classier. Cant decide!
