OK, round 2 search:

Found a 08 G35xS and a G37xS with 60k miles and both have navi and similar condition and same money. I'll test drive them this week but which would you buy?? The comments on this site for the 09 7AT has me more concerned.......is the 5AT that much better and more reliability?

Also any issues with the self healing paint. I read that it is hard to detail?!? Wonder what it will look like in 5 years. something to be concerned with?

Hope the wrap this up soon. Again, thanks for the help!

I will admit that after driving the 7 speed transmission, I didn't like the shifting nearly as much as I did on my 5 speed. But for reliability, I can't really confirm. with the 7 speed you do get better gas mileage which is pretty horrible on the G35. So that is something to consider as well.

So if this has been done does the tranny perform as expected? I assume if it was not done is no issue in having it done after it take ownership regardless of miles?
