my right side headlight is not working!
So, I tried replacing the bulb and etc, it still won't work. So i took it to the stealership and took my $130 just to find the problem. It's the ballast... they told me it will cost me $1300 but no way in hell im paying that much for a 1 headlight assembly.
Is there any suggestion you guys have to fix this? im fixing just to buy the oem ballast from ebay $100 and replace it... will this fix the problem?

^ yeah if u are 100% sure as per their diagnosis that its just a bad ballast then replacing it with a new one should fix the problem without having to swap out the entire headlight assembly.
Next time its better to take it to a reputable local shop for diagnoses for such small issues since the will charge around $40-60 for diagnosis rather than $130.
G/L and keep us posted

I am going to order a new oem ballast and hope it will fix this problem. also I will be installing 370z or g37 sport rear sway bar on my g35x
Screw the dealer. Change it out yourself. The headlights are easy to take out, all you have to do is take of the front bumper, and the ballasts can be changed out really easy from there. All you need to do is take out three bolts, and unplug the thing, and replace.
Here's some Matsushita ballasts, the same ones Infiniti uses. The ones on the G are Gen IV, the Gen V should have the same fitment, but better technology.

I'm sure there are some DIYs here somewhere on how to get the bumper and headlights out - it isn't hard to do at all.

My right side headlight isn't working, a bit of a saga in my case - but it seems the LH & RH headlights have separate fuses. I'm in a V36 *** import skyline in Australia and the fuse box is on my passenger side just in front of the windscreen in the engine bay. Pain in the proverbial just to get to it (got to take out a heap of trim and pull the box out).
Anyway I replaced the fuse and it blew again so I've got a new ballast on order from the dealer (at no cost to me).
Also, to get to the ballast, lights etc on mine, you pull off the front wheel and peel back the internal wheel arch trim. I'm pretty sure it's the same on the infiniti - i think I read it somewhere in this forum.
