Looking for input from Uprev tuned with JUST CBE and Intake (stock cats)
Ive searched and can only seem to find cars with HFCs (intake and cbe too) that are tuned. I cant seem to find any solid information on Uprev tune results from cars with JUST an intake and cat back exhaust, stock cats. Anyone have anything?

Good luck man!!! The G will be happy to get the A/F back in line regardless of the gains. I'd suggest holding off on the tune if you have other engines scheduled in the near future. If not get it done now and if the mod bug bites and you need a re-tune it will only cost the price off the dyno time.

[QUOTE=dofu;6482907]A tune is one of the best mods you can do for the price. Because cars come out of the factory with a very conservative tune due to liability reasons, you will see good gains even if the car is stock.[/QUOTE
While that is true on your 05 thats not really the case on the hr motor that has no mods there is little to no gains. Now if you have some mods then yes its worth it. That comes from the owner of uprev when I brought my car in for a baseline on the dyno.

I'm not gonna argue with the guy since he's going to know more about all of the different models as where I only know about mine, but theoretically, you can make more power more efficiently if you lean out the motor to a better air/fuel ratio. Even if that's not the case with all motors and you don't see much power gains, you can still benefit from better fuel mileage and better response from the better air/fuel ratio from the tune. When it comes to accelerating, IMO, response makes a world of a difference - if you can get through the rpms faster, you can make more power sooner.
I know that newer cars with newer technologies are going to be running more efficiently out of the box, but that's mainly because the parts are better, although some companies will tune the car accordingly as well. But I don't have enough faith that Nissan/Infiniti would risk the higher liability by not tuning one of their top selling cars a bit conservatively.

I had mine tuned. I got a little under 30tq and 17hp. My bolt ons hindered me a bit though. I really think that I am just barely above stock at this point. BARELY. Sounds good though.

I guess the numbers ARE adjusted for the altitude supposedly. I did have a great race on the highway from 45-90 with an identical G. BARELY nudged in front of him.
