Quick General Questions

Hey guys.. I just sold my infiniti I30 and wanted to stay in the infiniti family so I am deciding to get the 2008 g35 sedan very soon for its what I am looking for and that's in my price range. I was debating of getting the g35x vs g35 s for I do like the paddle shift and seat upgrade but is the S insurance significantly more? I was trying to search for the answer but there could not find an accurate answer. Secondly, this isnt my limit but I was hoping to get one for around 21k with 30k millage on it. You think its possible?

Any feedback would be helpful thank you guys.

The S shouldn't be much more insurance wise (except the MSRP is a bit higher), it's still the same general performance & hp as the X and non-sport RWD.
If you don't need AWD get the S, too many nice extras for a small price difference. An 08 S for 21k is possible, here's what's on Ebay right now

"but is the S insurance significantly more?"

The only way to know for sure is to call your insurance company and ask. There are too many variables.

I will share this with you. I am 46 with a very clean driving record. My last vehicle/driving offence was more than 26 years ago. When I recently switched from my 07 G35X (bought new) to my new 11 G37S my insurance dropped from $1058 to 919 annually. I didn't ask them why

Edit:
To summarize my case; a newer car, more power and 'sportier' (manufacturer designation) = lower insurance than the older, less power, potentially safer AWD vehicle.
I'll never understand the Auto Insurance rating system.

If you don't need AWD, then go with the G35S.

less components, less thing that could break, lighter, faster, better cornering, better mpg, cook better food ... you get the idea ;-)

^ don't say 'faster', you'll start a G-war
My X was every bit as quick as my S and if the road condition was less than perfect (sticky) then my S couldn't come close to my X off the line.
I agree though, definitely go for the S. More fun and more mod-able
