s there a straightforward way to replace Bose Amp
I have a 07 G35X, the Bose stereo is so bad. I know the amp is in the rear, but I haven't actually gone looking for it. But is it possible to do a straightforward amp replacement? Which amp is fit for those speakers? Wondering if I can buy an amp and a wiring harness and bolt the amp in place of the existing.
I have heard there is a direct fit with i believe an alpine amp - i am looking to do the same thing.

im sure u can find an amp taht fits the oem location but doubt that you can find a ready made wiring harness for it so youd have to do some of your own cutting and slicing imo
You guys really think replacing the amp with aftermarket and keeping the components will change the sound dramatically? What about a sound shaper like the JBL MS8 or JL Audio Cleansweep.
I honestly don't know enough about aftermarket sound to know what is the best option - i am going more for practicalitly price wise - would one of those 2 products you mentioned make a considerable difference over a new amp?
Honestly, can't afford change everything at the same time! Changing the amp & add 1 more amp & subwoofer is a first step, then will change the 3 way component next step.

I don't think changing the amp is going to do much. If I switched out the Audiosource monoblock amps in my home theater system with high end Krell amps, I doubt I would hear any difference at all.
I'm not an expert in sound systems, but in my experience trying to upgrade my Bose sound I was told that the reason the sound can be so lacking is that the 10-inch subs in the doors are pretty shallow and provide kinda weak bass lines. The one in the rear deck is a joke. So I believe changing the amp without upgrading the speakers will be a waste. Before I added my own subs to the trunk, I was using my iPod and got better bass since you can add Bass Boost to the iPod files. That sound was ok but still couldn't get deep bass out of it and CDs sounded really disappointing playing in the stock system.
I added two Alpine 800w 12-inch subs and a Memphis 1200w amp, and it sounds a million times better. I have an extra battery, crossover, and an EQ that are sitting in my room waiting to be installed also butI'm getting great sound now that the quality highs from the Bose system are being supported by the 12-inch subs.

i actually like the Bose system, but i do think it should be able to thump a little bit more. Afraid adding another sub would drown out all other ranges, so an aftermarket amp maybe what i'm looking for as well.
Definitely need another amp to power any subs you add to the system. The one that powers the stock subs is relatively weak and I highly doubt there is any way to have it power any more speakers.
i once added a aftermarket sub where the oem sub goes. it sounded too bassy though, due to the other front door subs. It just didnt balanced it self out. Changing them with mids would fix that problem. Heres a pic i have of my little project.
And the sub with the adapter. Its a kicker 07C104 Competition 10" sub.

You gotta check that the depth is not long or else it'll hit the trim that covers the underside. This one fits perfect.
