Help Pick the Strut Bar Color

Adding a cusco upper strut bar and dont like the chrome finish. What color should I powdercoat it? I was thinking of leaving the endplates "cusco blue"

Black
White
Silver
Blue
Chrome
Other

Leave it as is. If you powdercoat it you will weaken t he bar and lose some effect of it when driving. If you dont care then go for the black one.

strut bar is really for looks. ive gone through them before and it stiffens up the front a little but nothing major. with my mods, this is just a finisher piece. i think the chrome looks out of place. dont know if the black with blend in too much

A wise person told me to leave it alone b/c i had the same idea. He said that once you powdercoat it you will weaken the struture of the bar. If you look at all the other car they left it alone b/c they want the effect of it. So after that i just left mine alone

my thoughts as well.

maybe at temps of 500F and above but there are a lot of bike and car frames that are powdercoated. usually PC is done at 350F. Aluminum should be able to withstand 350F without weakening.

aluminum is powder coated all the time, there are acceptable heat ranges to stay in but any LEGIT shop knows that

Personally, I'd leave it as is. If you're set on changing the color though, probably black.
