Polished would be my choice, but if you feel the need to pwdercoat it (don't paint it, it will just chip off) I would go with Gloss or Satin Black, Matte Black will collect dust and be WAY too hard to clean.

FYI, powdercoating will in no way affect the structural rigidity of the bar. Maybe if you overheat it, yes, but baking on powdercoating won't even come close to overheating the aluminum. I took several Metallurgy classes in school and the melting point of aluminum is over 1200°F, so a 350 - 400°F oven isn't going to have any effect on it. Incidentally, I dealt with aluminum a lot (and many other alloys) at my previous company and we actually used to heat treat the aluminum by heating it and then cooling it down slowly (so not to shock it) . This would cause an annealing process in the aluminum and can actually make it stronger.

the winner is....

AS IS...polished.

i installed today and as much as I hate polished aluminum, its staying for now. I do like the etching of the CUSCO name on the bar tho.

pics are coming as soon as i clean the car!

Good choice! Although, I would polish off the CUSCO logo so it will look cleaner!

You should powdercoat the strut tower mounting brackets instead.
