spoiler or no spoiler?

what spoiler would go well with a 2007 G35x? my car did not come with the factory spoiler and every time I look at the back of my car I feel like something is missing. I seen the factory spoiler and my feeling about it is neutral, I don't hate it but at the same time I'm not going like OMFG THAT LOOKS SICKKK. Do you guys know any spoilers that would look good on a G but not too ricer looking? something elegant like the factory one but with a bit more after market look to it. thanks

No spoiler is my vote. It wont look cool on there cars. Plus there is no need for them.

+1, None of the OEM spoilers look good. That's my opinion anyway. As of yet, I haven't seen a nice aftermarket one.

Sure it did. It's chrome
...but seriously, If you have it in mind to get a spoiler I would keep it very subtle. For example, this Stillen.
I would also paint the chrome lip to match the car.

Take a look through this thread.

The rear spoiler, at speed, will help with zero lift in the rear. Will you ever feel it in daily driving? Not likely. But i felt a subtle difference with it on the track.

I love my oem deck spoiler, removing the chrome lip and adding the subtle spoiler gives it a clean look. The oem deck spoiler compliments the lines of the G. Not sure if I'd consider one on an otherwise stock G, especially if you're keeping the rest of your chrome. I debadged and blacked out my chrome so it doesn't look out of place. The OEM wing spoiler really takes away from the Gs look though IMO.

Of course once you get the rear spoiler you might want the front one too, it's a never ending curse, lol

woahhh very nice looking G. I did my lights like yours but not glossy, I used plasti dip instead which has a matt black finish which I don't really light now. What kind of product did you use for your tail lights? Can you give me a link to the spoiler you bought? I already blacked out everything including the chrome trim so no worries :P

The only rear spoiler that I think doesn't look out of place and makes the statement " hey, my car is sporty but I am old enough to not throw fast and furious crap on my luxury car" is below

But not everyone has the same taste...

Sure everyone has different likes & dislikes & what looks good on our Gs, but the OEM deck spoilers or one like Soundmikes above no way screams "fast & furious", they just flow w/ the factory lines and don't look like fast & furious afterthoughts, as least IMO.

Of course. The point was to advise against putting crazy exterior add on's aka fast and furious exterior mods on a sedan. The OEM deck spoiler doesn't flow as good as the stillens or soundmikes but it's just my opinion on what looks good.
