i could be wrong but as far as i know, to make any audio device to play through the composite a/v cable it needs to be a cable that plugs into the 3.5mm earphone port on the audio device and then to the car. SInce the car does not have the ipod adapter u will need to control the music from the ipod and just have the audio output to the car speakers through aux. I havent tried this but im guessing that the aux screen would only appear when there is some cable plugged in.

something like THIS... this link is just for reference, u can buy this cable for $2-5 off of ebay.

if you want to be able to control the music/ipod thorugh your car controls then u need to install an ipod adapter which is not a hard install

When I had my 07 G35X I used this, from Monster. Picked it up at a surplus store for $10.
It has a 3.5mm jack in the part that connects to the iDevice You can plug in any 3.5mm/RCA cord.

Ive had experiences with these and you lose a lot of audio quality since it connects via the radio..

^ I used this one with my iPod for 3 years and the sound was excellent. Better sound than the factory iPhone connection I have now.
