What irks me though is how the clear plastic covering the gauges (micro)scratches so easily. Even after i've polished it, several weeks later of careful microfiber wiping, the scratches are back.

They just stick tape on the OUTSIDE of the cover.
I don't know how effective this method is and it's only good for those who still have their OEM TPMS sensors.
I heard guys making a pressure chamber out of PVC pipe to keep the OEM TPMS sensors in.
You get a pvc pipe that fits all 4 sensors, cap it from both sides and install air fitting into one of the caps.
Then simply pump it up to 35 psi and throw it in to the trunk. So your system thinks that your tires are within required pressure range.
Once again, this is just something I heard from few guys, I never actually seen one and don't know how effective it's going to be, so don't quote me on this.
Mod is simple and inexpensive enough to try tho.

just so you know Orange is out of business. they were good but did have a higher then acceptable fail rate. If you have them & they work then you should have no problem, if you do have a warrantee issue then you are SOL.
